Team

The NCTS clinical team consists of over 45 Psychologists, Counsellors, Social Workers, Nurses and Psychiatric Nurses who specialize in providing psychological assessments and counselling services in northern regions. Associates have particular areas of expertise such as addictions, trauma and grief counselling, child and youth counselling, etc.

Service Model

NCTS works within an associate service model, utilizing approaches that are client-centered and community-oriented. NCTS associates include psychologists, counsellors, social workers, mental health workers, psychiatric nurses, consultants, researchers, evaluators, and policy experts. All our associates have extensive northern experience.

Clinical Branch

The NCTS clinical team consists of over 50 psychologists, counsellors, social workers, nurses and psychiatric nurses who specialize in providing psychological assessments and counselling services in northern regions. Associates have particular areas of expertise such as addictions, trauma and grief counselling, child and youth counselling and others. 

All NCTS clinical associates are carefully selected based on reputation and proven northern experience working with Indigenous and non-Indigenous clientele and have strong background knowledge and understanding of critical historical and current factors that have deeply impacted wellbeing in the North. 

All clinical counsellors are members in good standing with professional regulatory bodies.

Consulting Branch (Policy, Programs, Research & Evaluation)

NCTS’ consulting branch provides consulting services on policy, programs, research and evaluation in the areas of mental health and wellness. The team consists of a diverse team of skilled professionals, including clinicians, former high-level government executives, evaluation specialists, researchers and program and community development experts.

All our staff and consulting associates have strong Northern experience and expertise.
